Part I, v. 1 - Testimonials and memorials for Bailey Gatzert (1829-1893), pioneer Seattle merchant. v. 2 - Messages of condolence received by Mrs. Babette Schwabacher Gatzert at her husband's death; letters received on death of her brother, Louis Schwabacher; miscellaneous letters from family and friends. v. 3 - Scrapbook kept by Mrs. Gatzert (chiefly obituary clippings for her husband, family and friends) Receipt from Wells Fargo & Company to Mesdames Gatzert and G. Weed for shipment of coin contributed for yellow fever sufferers at Grenada, Mississippi, 1878, pasted in. Also, clippings concerning Columbia River steamer, Bailey Gatzert, and Jan. 4, 1904 edition, The Reform Advocate, Jewish periodical.
